In order to cover the costs of running the Group, each member is required to pay the following weekly fees

Beavers        £2.00

Cubs            £2.30

Scouts          £2.50

 

This amount is intended to cover the Group's day to day running costs, and also covers the annual fee that the Group has to pay the Scout Association for each member.

 

At the start of each half-term, each member is given a subscription fee letter (see example...).

This details the amount due for that term and any arrears fom the previous half-term, and how to make the payment.

The payment is expected to be paid within three weeks.

Fees arrears are not allowed to go beyond one term; the consequence of non-payment of these fees is that the child's membership may be terminated.

If there is a short-term problem with payment, then this needs to be discussed with the Treasurer.

 

in order to assist with Group costs and to keep the fees level as low as possible, each member is requested to have a Gift Aid Declaration completed by a parent.

This provides the Group with an extra 28p per £1 on the fees.

Even with the lowering of the basic tax rate, the Gift Aid claim rate remains at 22% until 2010
